Owns the Finance and Accounting application portfolio, including strategy, governance, contracts, vendors, budgets, lifecycle management, upgrades, deployments, retirement, and replacement. Partners with Finance, IT, architects, vendors, and managed service providers to align applications with business goals, control costs and risks, improve processes, and maintain compliance. Oversees roadmaps, enhancement backlogs, service levels, documentation, data governance, and stakeholder communications.

The VDC Engineer supports design-build projects through BIM and virtual construction activities, including 2D/3D coordination, model development, clash detection, quantity takeoffs, 4D scheduling, 5D estimating, and model change management. The role collaborates with designers, subcontractors, estimators, project managers, and superintendents while providing technical support and coaching on BIM best practices. Nationwide travel or relocation to job sites is required.

Manage project financial strategy, budgets, forecasts, cost control, change orders, billings, and cost reporting. Coordinate with project management, accounting, subcontractors, and executives to identify variances, risks, and ensure accuracy and transparency in cost deliverables.

Build and govern semantic models in Snowflake using SQL, tests, and documentation. Translate finance, operations, and project-controls logic into auditable dimensional models; migrate legacy reporting logic; maintain models as source systems change; and resolve metric definitions with business stakeholders. The role requires strong SQL fundamentals, analytical rigor, curiosity, and communication skills. Early-career candidates are welcome, with senior engineers available for mentorship.

Build and deploy governed AI applications for Clayco employees, including retrieval over internal procedures, training content, project history, and documentation. Translate domain models into effective retrieval boundaries, evaluate AI approaches against real work tasks, establish prompt and context engineering standards, and integrate applications with the company’s agent registry and identity model. The role requires production experience with retrieval and document intelligence, close collaboration with domain experts, and comfort working in an early-stage AI program.

Supports industrial process design projects by preparing 2D drafting deliverables, maintaining process drawings and documentation, developing Plant3D smart P&ID capabilities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in design reviews, and assisting with quality control and workflow improvement.

Own Clayco’s Snowflake-based semantic layer, including certified definitions, governed models, approval processes, and legacy reporting retirement. Build conformed and domain models for construction, finance, project controls, safety, and risk. Hire and lead an analytics engineering team growing to eleven, while partnering with data platform, AI, and governance leaders to establish trusted data standards across the organization.

Owns delivery governance for Clayco’s Precon OS modernization program. Directs an external vendor across validation, scope, sequencing, acceptance, UAT, cutover, budget, and handover. Manages requirements traceability, quality gates, stakeholder decisions, environments, access, commercial controls, and executive reporting. Success requires delivering a production-ready estimating platform that integrates through documented APIs, supports accurate GMP estimates, and can be operated independently by Clayco.

Own Clayco’s semantic layer, including certified definitions, governed models, approval and versioning processes, and domain models for construction, finance, project controls, safety, and risk. Lead the analytics engineering team as it grows from two to eleven, oversee migration from legacy reporting to governed models, and partner with data platform, AI, and governance teams. The role requires prior semantic-layer development, AEC industry expertise, analytics engineering leadership, and strong stakeholder alignment skills.
