Student hourly (approx. 10 hrs/week) role to recruit, train, schedule, and supervise news staff and public affairs hosts; produce and assist with news stories and special-event coverage; oversee FCC ascertainment and quarterly issues list; maintain newsroom and podcast studios; use Adobe Audition and broadcast automation software; enforce station policies and support fundraising events.

Support planning and execution of events across four departments: coordinate logistics and vendors, provide event setup and on-site support (including some evenings/weekends), develop marketing materials, and learn event coordination and marketing skills under staff supervision.

Provide live public address announcements for select university home sporting events. Must speak confidently, know sports, and attend most home games. Position is student hourly and includes background check and work authorization requirements.

Provide front-desk reception for Hyer Hall: greet residents and guests, assist with guest registration and equipment checkout, answer questions and take messages, sort and distribute mail, help submit work orders, keep the desk organized, and perform duties assigned by the Hall Director. Must work nights and weekends.

Operate and manage live athletics video streams: switch camera views, apply score graphics, insert ads, and communicate with camera operators. Work nights and weekends; hours vary with home events. Prior experience preferred but not required.

Manage and oversee Pointer Studios productions (shows, broadcasts, live events), maintain and organize studio and remote equipment, run production meetings, train members on workflows and gear, handle outreach and SGA-related budgeting and proposals.

Assist in the press box at athletic events (football, basketball, hockey, etc.), tracking stats and game information. Must work nights and weekends, know sports rules/stats, and maintain focus throughout events. Position runs for the 2026–27 academic year; hourly wage $10.50.

Serve as the Film Society producer for Pointer Studios: manage film content and archives, find and produce student-written work, recruit on-screen and behind-the-scenes talent, supervise students and community members, and plan/host events such as film screenings and a 48 Hour Film Festival. Maintain 10 office hours per week.

Manage Pointer Studios social media presence and branding for students, faculty, and the Stevens Point community. Work 5-10 hours weekly to upload and manage content, design posters and posts, coordinate with producers on content needs, and run outreach via social channels.

Provide live audio play-by-play commentary for university sports video streams. Must know sports terminology, pronounce names correctly, be professional and punctual, and work nights and weekends as scheduled.
