Processes full-cycle payroll, administers employee benefits and leaves, and manages onboarding and offboarding. Maintains accurate HRIS records and personnel files, ensures compliance with federal and California employment laws, supports audits, coordinates payroll and benefits vendors, handles employee inquiries, and prepares HR communications. The role also administers drug and alcohol testing programs, supports workplace notices and employer branding, and assists with HR projects and process improvements.

Performs general accounting functions including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, month-end close support, audit workpapers, financial reporting, and variance analysis. The role supports regulatory compliance and learns oil and gas accounting processes such as joint interest billing and revenue distribution. Requires strong GAAP knowledge, Excel proficiency, attention to detail, analytical ability, and a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
