Perform original and complex cataloging and metadata creation for artists' books and related materials using RDA, LCC, and LCSH. Create and update bibliographic and item records in OCLC and local ILS/LSP, prepare physical processing and archival rehousing, coordinate with Smithsonian staff, and produce monthly progress reports while following preservation and collections-care practices.

Provide administrative and information management support: maintain repositories and tracking systems, manage documents and correspondence, perform data entry and verification, assist staff and visitors, prepare reports, set up events and troubleshoot AV, and support records and office/facilities functions.

Provide in-person and remote reference and research services, perform systematic literature searches, support collection development and resource selection, participate in collaborative projects and update policies, and perform other duties as assigned to support library operations.

Produce, review, and validate metadata for federal documents and systems. Perform searches, extract descriptive metadata, quality-control image and bibliographic data, correct and combine records, and produce performance and quality reports while following government standards and procedures.

Perform original and copy cataloging of historical sheet music using MARC21 and RDA. Create and edit bibliographic records, assign LCC call numbers, apply LCSH/LCGFT, use OCLC Connexion and Alma, perform authority control, document cataloging decisions, and meet production and quality goals for a special collections music project.

Prepare, assess, and track library materials for large-scale digitization. Extract and format bibliographic metadata (MARC), coordinate with vendors, perform QA on digital assets, maintain production statistics, and collaborate with cataloging and federal staff to ensure preservation and accessibility.
