Develops, analyzes, commissions, operates, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical components and subsystems for RF cavities, transmitters, cryogenic plants, and utility systems. Responsibilities include mechanical design, simulation, procurement, fabrication, installation, documentation, maintenance planning, cryogenic system support, and operational troubleshooting. The engineer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and provides limited off-hours support for mission-critical issues.

Lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians to design, integrate, and operate AC power systems, power-supply cables, cable trays, and rack plants for the EIC. Serve as Control Account Manager tracking schedule, cost, and earned-value metrics; manage fabrication, standards, quality control, documentation, and cross-disciplinary coordination. Ensure compliance with codes, safety, and project processes through design, procurement, installation, and commissioning support.

Lead architecture, RTL design, implementation, and integration of digital blocks and subsystems for mixed-signal ASICs. Support data center infrastructure and scientific computing systems: install and manage computer and storage hardware, assist with asset management and DCIM, participate in off-hours support, and help maintain operational readiness for large-scale HPC and data-processing environments.

Provide mechanical engineering support for design, analysis, construction, testing, and maintenance of NSLS-II accelerator mechanical and utility systems. Manage projects end-to-end, produce drawings/specs/calculations, oversee fabrication/installation/testing, support operations and safety, coordinate technical staff and contractors, and present results to stakeholders.

Design and document complex mechanical components and systems for an accelerator using 3D CAD; produce fabrication drawings to ANSI Y14.5; support fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning; lead/coordinate project design efforts and mentor drafting staff; participate in design and safety reviews and collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technical staff.
