Supports talent acquisition by sourcing candidates, contacting applicants, building candidate pipelines, conducting qualification interviews, tracking information in the ATS, reporting recruiting metrics, coordinating with hiring managers, and promoting the employer brand. The intern will also provide progress updates, maintain candidate documentation, and assist with recruiting projects and community outreach.

Supports front-office and administrative operations by answering phones, greeting visitors, managing mail and shipping, scheduling meetings, arranging travel, assisting with events, and completing scanning, printing, and filing. The intern also supports HR with new-hire orientation and provides administrative assistance based on business priorities. This is an on-site role in Eagan, Minnesota, beginning May 2027.

Supports industrial automation hardware design by creating schematics, layouts, wiring drawings, bills of materials, and documentation. Collaborates with software, controls, manufacturing, and panel shop teams; troubleshoots hardware issues; verifies quality and regulatory compliance, including UL508A. Assists with industrial networking, startup, commissioning, and customer-site activities.

Develops technically accurate automation proposals and estimates from RFQ through submission. Reviews control, electrical, instrumentation, networking, and process documentation; identifies scope gaps and risks; coordinates with customers, vendors, engineering, procurement, and operations; estimates labor, materials, software, commissioning, and project costs; supports site investigations and project handoffs; and improves estimating standards, tools, and historical cost data.

Lead full lifecycle industrial automation projects (PLC/HMI/SCADA) from kickoff through commissioning. Translate customer requirements into scopes and plans, coordinate engineering/procurement/subcontractors, manage budgets, schedules, risks, and change orders, and maintain customer relationships while ensuring quality, safety, and on-site commissioning as needed.

Design, develop, integrate, test, commission, and troubleshoot SCADA and HMI systems for industrial automation projects. Configure operator interfaces, alarms, trends, reports, historians, security, industrial communication protocols, PLC integrations, and reusable visualization components. Participate in system architecture, FAT, SAT, startup, documentation, customer collaboration, and continuous improvement. The role requires supporting commissioning and customer activities, including travel.

Design, analyze, and optimize electrical system designs and project deliverables for construction readiness. Support design, procurement, and construction through drawing/spec review, RFIs, submittals, material takeoffs, site coordination, code compliance (NEC), and cross-team collaboration to ensure projects meet schedules and standards.
