Build and modernize Scribd’s core reading experience for millions of users. Responsibilities include migrating Rails frontend surfaces to microfrontends, developing React and Next.js features, creating GraphQL APIs, building Node, Python, and Go services, improving document ingestion infrastructure, collaborating with Data/ML, Design, and Product teams, contributing to the design system, and enhancing frontend performance, accessibility, SEO, and maintainability.

Lead strategy and execution for Scribd's Search product, defining multi-year roadmaps and metrics, partnering with ML, engineering, design, and analytics to ship ML-driven retrieval and ranking features that improve relevance, engagement, and conversion across large-scale consumer surfaces.

Leads Scribd’s content intelligence and UGC supply portfolio, owning corpus classification, metadata, quality, gap analysis, AI infrastructure, contributor experiences, and content acquisition strategy. Partners with ML, engineering, data science, consumer product, and business development teams to connect content supply with business value. Manages senior product leaders and established engineering and analytics programs while setting portfolio roadmaps and representing content strategy with executives.

Design, build, and operate Rust services powering Scribd’s large-scale Content Library and core infrastructure. Own features end to end, evolve Python tooling, optimize DataFusion, Parquet, S3, caching, and PostgreSQL/Aurora systems, and strengthen governance through lineage, authorization, and deletion controls. Lead cross-functional technical projects, support platform users, mentor engineers, improve developer workflows, and maintain production reliability through observability, on-call, and incident response.

Lead Corporate IT and Digital Workplace as a hands-on director: set IT strategy, deliver service and support, manage identity/access and macOS device lifecycle, partner on security/compliance and incident response, build automations/AI-enabled employee tools, oversee vendors and budget, and measure service metrics to improve reliability and employee experience.

Lead development of the Fable Android app: design and build high-quality experiences, drive architecture and performance improvements, collaborate with product/design/QE, mentor engineers, improve code quality and release reliability, and own features from concept to release.
