Own and improve optical calibration processes for illumination hardware, conduct optical characterization and experiments in bioreactor environments, and analyze data to validate models and guide system design. Collaborate with hardware, software, biology, and bioprocess teams to connect light delivery with cell culture performance. The role includes laboratory optical system setup, troubleshooting, automation, modeling, documentation, and development of practical engineering recommendations.

Architect and build a scalable software and controls platform connecting illumination hardware, firmware, cloud infrastructure, and internal tooling. Define interfaces, communication layers, and subsystem boundaries; collaborate with firmware, hardware, data, and bioprocess teams; establish engineering practices, deploy cloud-connected services, and contribute hands-on across the stack while shaping long-term technical direction.
