Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable back-end services and system architecture using Laravel/PHP. Implement and manage Laravel queues and relational databases, optimize performance, conduct code reviews, debug issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Role supports a federal contract requiring FEMA approval and U.S. citizenship.

Serve as the link between underwriting operations and agency partners: review and process flood policy submissions, evaluate elevation certificates and flood zone data, resolve underwriting discrepancies, support agent onboarding and training (Odyssey), troubleshoot quoting/binding issues, track agent metrics, participate in compliance/audits, and contribute to guideline updates and cross-functional initiatives to improve policy administration and agent experience.

Lead and manage underwriting teams to meet SLAs and client expectations. Oversee policy processing, workflow, auditing, quality assurance, training, timekeeping, and escalation of performance issues. Drive process improvements, support special projects to strengthen controls and reduce costs, and ensure readiness for catastrophe response and occasional travel.

Handle inbound leads to educate clients on flood insurance, assess needs, recommend personalized policies, update coverage recommendations, and support revenue growth and client retention. Focus on customer service, policy guidance, and driving sales without cold calling.

Build, recruit, and onboard independent insurance agencies nationwide to grow flood premium. Manage agency relationships, support training and placement, collaborate with marketing and carriers, maintain CRM pipeline, represent the company at events, and feed market intelligence to leadership.
