Manages AWRI’s financial operations, including institutional and grant budgets, funding, endowment and gift accounting, contracts, purchasing, invoicing, expense reconciliation, financial reporting, and compliance. Develops long-term financial plans and operational processes aligned with university departments and strategic priorities. Oversees staff hiring and contract management while advising the Executive Director and administrative leadership team on financial sustainability and operational excellence.

Oversees grant development and administration for WGVU, including researching funders, evaluating requests for proposals, writing and editing applications, managing funded projects, monitoring budgets, and completing reporting requirements. Develops relationships with foundation, corporate, public, and community funders; cultivates philanthropic gifts; manages a donor prospect portfolio; and coordinates with university sponsored programs, advancement, and grants accounting teams.

Leads entrepreneurial business development and client coaching for an innovation hub. Builds regional ecosystem partnerships, fills coaching and accelerator pipelines, mentors early- and growth-stage businesses, connects clients with capital, and manages the ElevateWest accelerator. Designs sustainable client intake, coaching, tracking, reporting, and program-delivery systems while coordinating partner programming and measuring outcomes.

Leads strategies connecting alumni with university academic colleges, faculty, and students. Builds relationships, supports advisory boards, develops engagement tools and processes, coordinates mentoring and experiential learning opportunities, tracks engagement activity, and aligns college initiatives with institutional alumni and philanthropic priorities. The role also supports strategic, virtual, and discipline-specific engagement programs across academic units.

Part-time (up to 29 hrs/wk) adjunct supporting the Director of Finance & Grants with financial reporting, grant documentation, procurement and invoice processing, expenditure tracking, sub-recipient monitoring, audits, compliance, and monthly forecasting across multiple federal, state, and project funds and 10 regional offices.

Serve as primary authorizer liaison for an assigned portfolio of charter schools, advising boards and leaders, monitoring academic and organizational data, ensuring contract compliance, coordinating board appointments and trainings, and collaborating with internal and external partners to strengthen school performance and board effectiveness.
