Support the City Engineer and Engineering Services Manager in managing engineering department operations and capital improvement projects. Coordinate plan review, construction oversight, contractor management, inspections, permits, plats, zoning reviews, budgets, presentations, and public inquiries. Assist with bid/award processes, stormwater and utility projects, outreach materials, and interagency coordination for regional flood and other special projects.

Oversee project financials to ensure budgets are met; process and review construction invoices and retainage; review budget adjustments, expense requisitions, and expense reports for compliance; assist departments with operating and capital budgets, prepare regular and special financial reports, and support preparation of final budget documents; collaborate with management, teams, and vendors to achieve project and fiscal objectives.

The City Marshal enforces city codes, conducts housing inspections, investigates complaints, issues citations, and maintains inspection records, ensuring compliance with city ordinances.
