Performs fiscal and administrative support for the Office of Research, including maintaining financial and intellectual property records, invoicing, payment processing, purchasing, card reconciliation, financial reporting, and Workday transactions. The role also advises staff on fiscal policies, manages office supplies, supports business operations, and recommends process improvements.

Leads research strategy integration across WSU’s statewide campuses, coordinating collaboration, capacity building, compliance, infrastructure, faculty engagement, strategic initiatives, major proposals, and institutional reporting. Leads WSAS finance, operations, personnel practices, compliance, policies, administrative infrastructure, and vendor oversight. Builds scalable financial systems, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and operational processes to support organizational growth. Manages grants, government contracts, audits, HR and payroll coordination, and board and funder reporting while supervising staff and contractors. Partners with WSU as fiscal sponsor and advises leadership on risk, investment, and organizational performance.

Coordinates administrative operations for user experiments at the Dynamic Compression Sector, serving as the primary contact from research proposal submission through post-experiment activities. Manages user communications, verifies APS system data, joins technical coordination calls, confirms post-experiment information, and organizes operational metrics for sponsor reporting and trend analysis. Provides general administrative support and collaborates with diverse technical and research professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Coordinates Student Affairs marketing and communications operations, develops annual marketing plans, and builds partnerships across university departments. Creates and implements promotional strategies across web, social media, print, outreach, and public relations channels. Writes newsletters, press releases, articles, blogs, and other professional communications. Generates creative marketing ideas and supervises approximately 50% FTE staff involved in marketing and promotional work.

The Director of Development advances Carson College of Business fundraising goals through donor outreach, cultivation, stewardship, proposal development, major-gift solicitation, annual giving, planned-gift identification, and fundraising event planning. The role manages approximately 125–150 donors, develops major gift pledges, plans solicitations, and meets annual fundraising targets of $750,000 to $1,000,000 or more. Extensive travel throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest, along with evening and weekend work, is required.

Manage daily operations of low/high ropes course and climbing wall, cultivate partner relationships, oversee budgets, coordinate staff training and supervision, ensure program safety and risk management, and develop experiential education and recreation opportunities for students and the public.
