Prepares and reviews engineering plans, specifications, estimates, technical reports, permits, and contracts; analyzes design alternatives and testing results; coordinates utilities and stakeholders; and leads, trains, or supervises engineering assistants and technicians.

Performs criminal and civil legal work for the Pima County Attorney’s Office, including prosecution and defense, litigation, trials, negotiations, legal research, investigations, and drafting motions, pleadings, briefs, and other documents. Represents county departments in litigation and administrative matters while complying with professional responsibility requirements and victims’ rights. Assignments may involve courts ranging from Justice Court to federal and appellate courts.

Processes specialized legal documents and confidential case information for the County Attorney’s Office. Maintains records, files, logs, databases, and spreadsheets; conducts restricted information searches; prepares routine legal documents and correspondence; reviews case files; coordinates court calendars and processing activities; assists the public and staff; schedules meetings; and handles payments. Some assignments may include reviewing and redacting body-worn camera footage.

Provides legal and case-management support to public defense attorneys. Responsibilities include managing caseload information, conducting legal research and investigations, drafting legal documents, responding to motions and discovery, coordinating with courts and agencies, communicating with clients and case participants, and maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
