Tenure-track Assistant Professor expected to develop an internationally recognized research program, teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, advise students, pursue external funding, publish scholarship, and provide service to the department, university, profession, and community. Participate in curriculum development and potentially supervise student employees.

Serve as primary liaison for football logistics, reports, recruit visit coordination, onboarding, and monitor compliance with NCAA, conference, and university requirements.

Lead and supervise field forestry programs to reduce wildfire risk and improve forest resilience. Manage projects, budgets, grants, contracts, and teams; provide technical silvicultural guidance; coordinate partners and interagency agreements; conduct outreach and represent CSFS. Work is field and office based with periodic travel and irregular hours.

Lead and manage a scholar success program combining high-touch advising for first-generation/low-income students with operational oversight of scholarships, donor stewardship, events, compliance, and partnership coordination to improve student retention, persistence, and graduation outcomes.

Serve as HR partner advising CVMBS leaders on complex employee relations and performance management. Provide consultation, training, data-driven analysis, and policy administration across ~2,200 employees. Partner with university HR and other offices to improve systems, drive change, and support inclusive, high-performance workforce initiatives. In-person role.

Serve as departmental processor and subject-matter resource for PCard, travel, and moving reimbursements. Ensure compliance with CSU fiscal and travel rules, reconcile transactions, process payments for licenses/memberships, respond to vendor inquiries, support purchase order lifecycle, and assist accounting with GL transfers, billings, accruals, and administrative backup.
