Participate in the Government Law Admission Program as a Prosecutor I, II, or III. Responsibilities include conducting trials, interviewing witnesses, analyzing legal issues, and negotiating case resolutions.

Roles require nonpartisan customer service, adherence to election procedures, and availability for extended, irregular hours during the election cycle.

Represent indigent clients in adult criminal matters: prepare defenses, appear at hearings and trials, draft motions and briefs, conduct legal research and investigations, interview witnesses, review evidence, and collaborate with investigators and paralegals. Travel to courts, jails, and crime scenes as needed and participate in continuing legal education.

Provide legal advice and representation to county officials and departments on civil matters; handle litigation in state and federal court; draft motions, briefs, reports and contracts; conduct legal research; manage appeals; advise on public records, open meetings, procurement, and intergovernmental agreements; negotiate with opposing counsel; provide risk analyses and status reports; and mentor non-senior attorneys.
