Lead and manage Austin Energys internal audit function: develop audit charter, policies, annual risk-based audit plan, and QA program; direct audits and fraud investigations; supervise and develop audit staff; communicate and present findings to management and audit committee; ensure compliance with professional auditing standards and applicable laws.

Designs, administers, secures, and optimizes enterprise Oracle and SQL Server databases. Responsibilities include backup/recovery, performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring, scripting/automation, incident troubleshooting, and supporting high-availability and business-continuity solutions across production and test environments.

Provide citywide HR consultation and design HR programs; lead investigations into discrimination, harassment, retaliation; advise management on policy and legal compliance; analyze HR metrics; deliver training; manage programs and mentor HR staff; ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
