Manage a civil rights litigation docket: intake, investigate, prosecute cases in state and federal courts, handle discovery, motions, trials and appeals, pursue administrative advocacy, support community partners, provide legislative expertise, and serve as spokesperson as needed.

Provide administrative and case support to the Legal Department: manage case files and calendaring, conduct factual investigations and interviews, assist with discovery and drafting legal correspondence and FOIA requests, prepare court filings, use PACER and Westlaw, oversee intake process and internship program, and produce reports and docket maintenance.

Interns will work with advocacy, legal, communications, operations, and development teams to advance ACLU of Texas fundraising and stewardship goals.

Support the Legal Intake team by reviewing and responding to complaints, tracking and analyzing intake patterns, identifying community resources, and assisting on special projects and outreach. Work collaboratively with the intake coordinator and attend intern meetings. Position is part-time and remote.
