Performs entry-level professional librarian duties, including patron assistance, reference services, research, readers advisory, digital resource instruction, collection development, cataloging, metadata creation, and community programming. Plans outreach, classes, displays, and exhibits; supports digitization and digital content management; promotes library services; and helps maintain a welcoming, safe branch environment. Manages SFO’s contract operations across the full contract lifecycle, including procurement planning, solicitations, contract administration, compliance, service-level management, and payment review support. Leads workforce planning, develops procedures and controls, monitors performance and risks, resolves complex operational issues, manages budgets, and supervises and coaches professional staff. Advises stakeholders, supports compliant contract execution, drives process improvements, and represents the department in interagency forums.

This citywide recruitment is limited to current exempt City employees in the 1250 Recruiter classification.

Performs senior-level human resources work across recruitment, examinations, classification and compensation, labor and employee relations, benefits, HR operations, DEI, and training. Conducts job analysis, develops examinations, evaluates accommodations and personnel transactions, investigates complaints, negotiates grievances, supports disciplinary processes, analyzes compensation data, and develops HR programs. May lead or supervise analysts and clerical staff while advising employees, managers, labor representatives, and HR professionals.

Investigates personal injury and property damage claims involving City vehicles, equipment, and utilities; interviews involved parties, gathers evidence, prepares reports, negotiates settlements, appears in court, defends the City in small claims matters, and collaborates with City departments and legal representatives. The role includes business-hours on-call duties and rotating evening and weekend emergency response responsibilities.

Coordinates and conducts recruitment activities for City departments or large divisions.
