Support strategic planning and execution for large-scale steel and power EPC projects. Conduct feasibility studies, techno-economic assessments, and performance analysis. Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning progress. Develop dashboards and decision-support analytics, identify process improvements, perform benchmarking and market analysis, and collaborate with engineering, finance, procurement, operations, and external EPC contractors.

The role also mentors junior scheduling staff.

Provides on-site IT support for project offices and personnel, including hardware, software, networking, devices, Microsoft 365, account provisioning, and enterprise systems. Sets up new offices, troubleshoots user issues, maintains asset and licensing records, coordinates vendors, supports security compliance, documents procedures, and escalates complex problems. The role is based in the United States and may involve occasional travel between project locations.

Leads end-to-end CAPEX procurement for a major integrated steel plant project, including sourcing strategy, vendor qualification, bid evaluation, negotiations, contracting, supplier performance, cost optimization, and procurement risk mitigation. Coordinates with EPC contractors, engineering, finance, legal, and project teams while managing budgets, schedules, trade compliance, and a procurement team. Extensive travel to vendor facilities, project sites, and engineering offices is required.

Leads business intelligence, market analysis, and competitive intelligence for U.S. flat steel products. Develops dashboards, market forecasts, segmentation studies, pricing insights, and competitive databases. Partners with sales, marketing, finance, and production planning to support commercial strategy, customer targeting, business planning, and senior leadership decisions. Tracks steel industry trends, macroeconomic indicators, trade policies, tariffs, and competitor activity while presenting actionable recommendations.

Leads enterprise digitalization, automation, AI, and IT/OT integration strategy for an integrated steel plant. Oversees plant automation, MES, ERP, industrial IoT, data infrastructure, cybersecurity, and AI/ML initiatives. Builds cross-functional digital and automation teams, establishes governance, manages technology partners, drives organizational change, and reports transformation progress to executive leadership and the board.

Leads federal, state, and local permitting and regulatory approval activities for a large integrated steel plant project. Oversees environmental assessments, air and water permits, wetlands and stormwater approvals, agency relationships, public engagement, consultants, budgets, schedules, compliance planning, and permitting risk mitigation. Builds and mentors the permitting team while coordinating with engineering, construction, legal, and project leadership to maintain regulatory compliance and development timelines.

Supports in-house counsel with commercial contract administration, document review, corporate records, legal research, discovery, compliance tracking, and confidential information management. Manages Minneapolis office operations, vendors, supplies, calendars, meetings, travel, invoices, and administrative deadlines. Maintains SharePoint repositories and coordinates legal documents, signatures, outside counsel billing, and executive support activities.
