Conduct foundational and applied machine learning and data analysis research for national security and scientific applications. Lead multidisciplinary research teams, develop and evaluate scalable AI models and statistical methods, guide scientific projects, publish findings, develop research strategies, secure funding, and advise management and external sponsors. Perform optical system modeling, metrology (interferometers, spectrophotometers, collimated-source testing), develop test methodologies and analysis tools, prepare engineering documentation, support procurement, and present technical results. Lead technical efforts and provide direction at the senior SES.4 level.

Design, implement, and manage cloud solutions for NNSA missions. Build IaC and automation (Python, Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK), migrate and optimize workloads, monitor performance, ensure DOE/NNSA and NIST compliance, provide support/training, and collaborate across teams. On-site position with occasional travel; senior level responsibilities and advanced cloud/AI/ML platform expertise required.
