Leads ESH technology enablement by translating business and compliance needs into IT requirements, managing application projects, improving processes, and coordinating solution evaluation, implementation, testing, adoption, and sustainment. Serves as liaison among ESH, IT, data specialists, and partners; supports software governance and AI initiatives; and briefs leadership on requirements, risks, technology needs, and project progress.

Coordinates electronic and mechanical procurement, fabrication, work orders, supplier sourcing, inventory, vendor repairs, and material staging for LLNL’s NIF program. Reviews technical drawings, schematics, fabrication processes, pricing, and schedules; manages requisitions, contracts, supplier oversight, and procurement issues. Maintains MRP and inventory systems, provides status reporting, coordinates internal and external stakeholders, and ensures compliance with safety and security requirements in an on-site operational facility.

Provides mechanical and electro-mechanical drafting and design support for hardware, equipment, assemblies, facilities, and systems. Creates 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, fabrication documentation, specifications, and technical designs using PTC Creo. Performs basic engineering calculations, cost and schedule analysis, vendor coordination, and configuration management in PTC Windchill. Higher-level duties include independent design decisions, design reviews, and advanced technical problem-solving.

Develop, integrate, commission, test, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software control systems for facility, process, utility, safety, production, and research operations in a nuclear facility. Responsibilities include control architecture, instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA/HMI, LabVIEW, requirements, documentation, risk evaluations, root-cause analysis, system upgrades, and lifecycle support. Higher-level duties include technical leadership, complex troubleshooting, project leadership, mentoring, vendor coordination, and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.

Leads LLNL’s Data, Sampling & Information Management Division, overseeing environmental data quality assurance, data management, monitoring programs, chemical inventory systems, regulatory reporting, and contract laboratories. Supervises technical staff, develops DOE- and EPA-aligned quality assurance plans, manages data validation and analytics, governs TEIMS and ChemTrack systems, and supports environmental, safety, and health stakeholders while ensuring compliance with laboratory accreditation and federal requirements.

Provides procurement policy guidance, interprets FAR, DEAR, CAS, and related regulations, and ensures compliance with DOE/NNSA requirements. Supports audits, oversight, data-quality reviews, metrics, contract review boards, and complex subcontract negotiations and administration. Advises stakeholders, vendors, and contracting officials; develops policies, leads procurement projects, resolves complex contractual issues, and may train and mentor procurement professionals.

Coordinate procurement, tracking, delivery, and status reporting for electronics fabrication and network installation projects. Support vendors, engineers, receiving, and production teams; reconcile supply issues and manage components, materials, and project milestones. At the senior level, lead procurement coordination, train coworkers, prepare procurement packages, support capital equipment installations, develop vendor safety documentation, and recommend suppliers or material alternatives.

Architects, implements, and administers highly available cloud and application infrastructure for enterprise services. Responsibilities include automation, orchestration, monitoring, configuration and patch management, security compliance, vulnerability remediation, capacity planning, performance tuning, lifecycle management, and operational support. The role also leads migration from virtualized infrastructure to containerized services using CI/CD automation and technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Terraform, and Ansible. Collaboration with developers, administrators, security teams, customers, and senior stakeholders is required.

Operate and support enterprise virtual desktop and Windows management systems. Troubleshoot user issues, perform root cause analysis, maintain service reliability, implement change-controlled improvements, and document procedures. Use PowerShell to automate desktop administration and configuration management, and support SCCM/MECM application deployment, Active Directory GPOs, and VDI environments. Higher-level responsibilities include managing complex priorities, improving Windows configuration services, mentoring junior staff, and troubleshooting enterprise networks.

Supervise the Acquisition Management Group while providing technical leadership for procurement, supplier coordination, budgeting, workforce planning, and equipment acquisition. Prepare procurement packages, monitor deliverables, resolve vendor and fabrication issues, manage technical and financial authority, and serve as a Subcontract Technical Representative or Technical Release Representative. The role requires onsite work, DOE Q clearance eligibility, team leadership, acquisition expertise, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and coordinate electronic and mechanical systems.
