Develops and validates manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, work instructions, and documentation for aerospace-related production. Supports APQP, NPI, quality improvement, root-cause analysis, cost reduction, engineering changes, supplier process development, and continuous improvement. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and manufacturing challenges while ensuring customer, quality, safety, and cost requirements are met.

Leads custom metal bellows engineering projects from requirements and prototype development through production launch. Coordinates design, manufacturing, quality, testing, sales, and supply chain activities while managing scope, schedules, budgets, technical risks, and customer communication. Provides engineering support in structural, pressure vessel, fatigue, thermal, materials, manufacturability, welding, assembly, and testing areas. Maintains technical documentation and supports compliance, validation, process improvement, and reliable production of precision components.

Create and check 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models for metal expansion joints using SolidWorks. Collaborate with engineering, planning, manufacturing, quality, and other teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements, ASME codes, company standards, and manufacturability needs. Identify interference and conformance issues, recommend design changes, and ensure drawings accurately communicate fabrication requirements.

Designs and redesigns metal expansion joints from customer purchase order through production, installation, and commissioning. Responsibilities include creating compliant designs, improving materials and processes, providing technical customer support, resolving design changes, and performing field inspections. The role requires mechanical engineering knowledge, 3D modeling and drafting skills, familiarity with piping or petrochemical applications, and understanding of applicable engineering standards. It may also support audits, quality initiatives, and global travel.

Lead the design, development, analysis, testing, and validation of custom metal bellows, assemblies, tooling, and fixtures. Create SolidWorks models, drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation while applying GD&T and DFMA. Perform mechanical calculations and FEA, correlate test data with analytical models, and optimize designs for performance and manufacturability. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sales, and customers, support product qualification, drive continuous improvement, and mentor junior engineers.
