Own turbomachinery hardware for nuclear reactors from concept through production. Lead design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, supplier coordination, requirements translation, verification planning, risk reduction, and technical issue resolution. Coordinate cross-functional engineering disciplines, investigate manufacturing and test issues, improve reliability and manufacturability, and communicate technical status to leadership.

Develops the U.S. commercial market for advanced nuclear microreactors by identifying customers, evaluating energy-intensive projects, and advancing opportunities toward commercial agreements. Responsibilities include customer relationship development, market and project analysis, economics, permitting, incentives, financing, siting, risk assessment, pipeline management, proposals, negotiations, and cross-functional coordination with Finance, Engineering, Regulatory, Government Affairs, and leadership. Supports international commercial opportunities and represents Antares at meetings, site visits, and conferences.

Design, develop, test, and validate mechanical reactor reactivity-control systems and precision actuation mechanisms. Responsibilities include defining requirements and architecture, performing mechanism trade studies and FMEA, designing components for high-temperature and radiation environments, conducting design-for-manufacturability assessments, developing verification plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and vendors.

Lead the design, development, testing, and validation of mechanical reactor reactivity-control systems. Design precision mechanisms, actuation solutions, linkages, interfaces, and instrumentation for high-temperature, high-stress, and radiation environments. Define requirements, architectures, and verification plans; conduct FMEA, DFM assessments, trade studies, vendor evaluations, and cross-functional collaboration across thermal, structural, neutronics, controls, and simulation teams.

Lead customer-facing microreactor programs across commercial, defense, and space missions. Own cost, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, requirements management, technical roadmaps, system architecture, interfaces, and milestone execution. Support DoD and DOE proposal development, contract acquisition, mission analysis, deployment logistics, facility integration, commissioning, and decommissioning. Bridge systems engineering, business development, customer needs, and cross-disciplinary engineering teams while making technical decisions aligned with commercial outcomes.

Manage customer-facing commercial, defense, and space microreactor programs, owning cost, schedules, quality, contractual compliance, requirements, and milestone delivery. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, translate customer feedback into design inputs, support DoD and DOE proposals, analyze mission use cases, develop technical roadmaps, and define system architectures and interfaces. The role bridges systems engineering, business development, government contracting, and operational deployment planning, including logistics, facility interfaces, transportation, commissioning, and decommissioning.

Own and mature fabrication processes for critical reactor hardware from development through qualified production. Develop welding, CNC machining, metal forming, additive manufacturing, brazing, and diffusion bonding methods; lead DFM reviews, process qualifications, documentation, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions. Collaborate with design, materials, quality, suppliers, machinists, welders, and technicians to improve manufacturability and transition prototype hardware into repeatable production. Mentor engineering and technical staff.

Design and integrate Power Conversion System hardware, including pressure boundaries, piping, supports, rotating machinery interfaces, high-temperature components, and modular plant layouts. Own pressure budgets, thermal growth, leak-tightness, maintainability, and mechanical interfaces. Develop production-intent models and drawings, support fabrication, assembly, test rig design, instrumentation, commissioning, and troubleshooting, and use test data to improve component performance and life.

Design and integrate Power Conversion System hardware for advanced nuclear microreactors, including pressure boundaries, piping, supports, rotating machinery interfaces, thermal-growth accommodations, and high-temperature components. Own mechanical arrangement and pressure budgets, produce fabrication-ready designs, support testing and instrumentation, and use test data to improve performance and component life. Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, safety, and nuclear teams while supporting manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Design, analyze, build, test, and improve turbomachinery components for nuclear reactors across the full product lifecycle. Responsibilities include turbomachinery analysis, engineering documentation, manufacturing and qualification support, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, design reviews, and tradeoffs involving performance, cost, manufacturability, and schedule. The role collaborates closely with manufacturing, test, and quality engineers and may lead cross-disciplinary technical projects.
