The Assistant Attorney General in the Special Litigation Unit will lead complex civil litigation defending state statutes and policies, handle extensive motion practice, manage discovery and depositions, identify and work with expert witnesses, try cases, and coordinate closely with the Attorney General's office and state agency leaders.

Prosecute a wide range of serious criminal matters (homicide, sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, public corruption), evaluate and pursue cases for district attorneys statewide, advise and support county prosecutors, provide training and outreach, collaborate with law enforcement, and travel statewide as needed. Must be a licensed Oregon attorney with significant prosecutorial and litigation experience and pass background checks.
