Remote, digital-first sales role selling Gray Digital Medias full suite of digital marketing solutions to businesses in the Chicago region. Responsibilities include prospecting, new client meetings, consultative selling across channels (OTT, programmatic, paid social, SEM/SEO, email, YouTube), creating custom proposals, meeting sales targets, managing and growing client relationships, using CRM and reporting tools, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver and optimize campaigns.

Sell multi-platform broadcast and targeted digital advertising solutions by prospecting, cold calling, analyzing client needs, preparing presentations, managing the sales cycle, collaborating on creative ad solutions, and using sales software to track activity and orders to meet revenue goals.

Produce creative video, promo, and commercial content for station and clients: conceptualize, script, shoot (in-house/on-location), edit, create motion graphics, manage sponsored social posts, collaborate with reporters/producers, and support station projects and events.

Provide administrative support to sales, traffic, and accounting teams including order entry, makegoods, presentation and report creation, broadcast log reconciliation, client follow-up, cross-training in traffic roles, and occasional front desk coverage.

Lead and manage a team of Digital Producers to plan and execute daily digital and streaming news strategies across website, apps, and social media. Drive breaking news and severe weather coverage, create and curate fresh web content, and serve as a proactive newsroom digital ambassador.

Produce original, social-first short-form video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook and the website. Conceive, shoot, edit, publish 3–5 pieces weekly; write headlines/captions; apply SEO and analytics to guide content; collaborate with digital team; adapt digital stories for broadcast and cover breaking news with a digital-first lens.

Lead and grow local digital revenue by training sales staff, forecasting performance, supporting media executives in closing deals, maintaining campaign tracking/reporting, and providing consultative digital-advertising expertise to clients and team members.

Produce fast-paced, visually engaging local newscasts: write and edit scripts, coordinate anchors/reporters/photographers/directors, incorporate breaking news and live shots, monitor sources for story ideas, ensure editorial/legal standards, and contribute to digital platforms.

As an intern at Gray Media, you'll gain hands-on experience in media roles such as producer, MMJ, meteorologist, or media sales, creating content and collaborating with professionals while building your portfolio.

Produce, write, shoot and edit daily stories for newscasts, website and social platforms. Generate story ideas, build local contacts, operate live shots (TVU), attend events, follow tips, meet deadlines, and work weekends/holidays as needed.
