Work part-time with senior staff to research, design, develop, integrate, and test HPC/cloud research platforms. Tasks include AI/ML integration, DevSecOps practices, IaC automation, security protocol development, architecture and documentation, and implementing observability and telemetry solutions.

Perform risk and vulnerability assessments for systems, networks, and applications; monitor audits and manage POAMs; support certification/accreditation under DoD RMF; enforce policies in classified environments; participate in forensic preservation, CIRT activities, and stakeholder meetings; research industry best practices and assist with security training.

Supervise and coach a high-volume HR call center team, resolve complex HR inquiries, support customers with HR systems, manage FBI fingerprint clearance processing, drive process improvements and knowledge-base development, and use analytics to monitor workload and team performance.

Support engineers by designing and fabricating prototypes and test fixtures, assembling and instrumenting electromechanical systems, conducting and documenting experiments, procuring components, tracking project costs, maintaining shop safety and organization, providing photography/videography support, and traveling domestically for deployments and demonstrations. Higher levels add vendor oversight and extensive independent experience.

Perform systems engineering for undersea defense hardware: translate stakeholder needs into requirements and architectures, conduct AOA and system decomposition, support MBSE and hardware/software integration, develop verification/validation and test plans, participate in lab/dockside/at-sea testing, identify risks and support lifecycle decisions, and collaborate with sponsors, Navy partners, and program teams. Higher levels include technical leadership and program direction.

Monitor and troubleshoot enterprise network, voice, video, application, and infrastructure services; investigate alerts, document incidents in ServiceNow, triage and escalate outages, manage change requests, coordinate vendor support, and communicate operational status to stakeholders.

Manage and coordinate classified engineering projects: track cost, schedule, quality, subcontracts (CDRLs), ODCs, and stakeholder communications; prepare reports and briefings; support logistics, procurement, and cross-team coordination at secure facilities.

Support software safety for Navy systems throughout the lifecycle: assess software contributions to hazards, evaluate requirements/architecture/tests, support MIL-STD-882E/JSSSEH safety analyses and certification, develop safety documentation, investigate anomalies, and collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and government stakeholders. May include software development, integration, testing, and advanced research tasks for senior roles.

Maintain and troubleshoot Linux-based HPC systems, cloud tooling, Kubernetes platforms, and M&S applications; execute automation and GitLab pipelines; perform backups, patches, monitoring, and system documentation; respond to outages and recommend infrastructure improvements.
