Design and implement VR/AR/XR visualization applications and APIs, integrate 3D data into game-engine synthetic environments, deploy to VR/AR hardware, perform systems engineering, produce technical documentation, brief sponsors, and draft whitepapers and proposals. Higher-level duties include leading prototyping, defining immersive interaction standards, managing projects and sponsor relationships, and serving as subject matter expert.

Design, build, and test mechanical hardware for undersea applications. Create 3D models and detailed drawings (Siemens NX preferred), perform tolerance stacks and engineering calculations, develop assembly and test procedures, assemble and test electro-mechanical systems, support field testing, and collaborate with engineering staff on requirements and conceptual design.

Lead design, development, and deployment of sustainment information systems for defense applications. Define enterprise architectures, prototype cloud-native solutions (Kubernetes/Docker/CI-CD), modernize sustainment platforms, investigate emerging technologies, produce technical reports and proposals, collaborate with DoD and industry, mentor junior engineers, and support testing with periodic travel. Position supports NAVSEA and submarine sustainment environments and requires eligibility for government security clearance.

Maintain and ensure availability, stability, and health of distributed mission systems. Implement and automate CI/CD, configuration management, monitoring, and verification processes. Support software sustainment, system integration, and cross-functional coordination. Develop dashboards and reports, identify system deficiencies, and support testing and experimentation in secure, classified DoD environments.

Develop, integrate, test, and maintain undersea systems simulation software. Integrate vehicle guidance, control, and signal processing into larger simulations, verify and validate simulations, document designs and tests, and provide technical leadership or mentoring on projects.

Administer, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux systems, networks, and hardware for DoD/IC environments. Build bare-metal systems, enforce RMF security policies, monitor for intrusions, perform backups and recovery, manage authentication services, document systems, and support displays and video distribution. Support TS/SCI clearance requirements and automation/scripting tasks.

Design, implement, and test guidance and control algorithms for autonomous undersea vehicles. Analyze multi-sensor data, perform signal processing, detection/classification/tracking, develop software demonstrations, document results, and collaborate with project teams. Higher-level roles may lead tasks and evaluate theory applicability.

Provide ECAD electrical design support: create schematics, PCBs, circuit card assemblies, BOMs, and related documentation. Use PLM (Teamcenter) for configuration management, lead work intake and execution, participate in design reviews, and report to senior management. Support compliance training and security/background requirements in a DoD/IC research environment.

Develop, validate, and test flight control and strapdown inertial navigation algorithms and 6DoF vehicle models using Matlab/Simulink. Build Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop tests, perform sensor modeling and data analysis, support lab/field testing, document software and algorithms, and participate in design trade studies and system integration.

Support PCB design and documentation including schematics, layouts, BOMs, and library parts. Collaborate on electro-mechanical system concepts, assist with material selection, packaging, tolerance analysis, manufacturing support, and cost projections. Provide status updates and present in design reviews. Support senior staff in evolving design methods and evaluate new software/tools to improve design and reporting processes.
