Design, build, and test mechanical hardware for undersea applications: create 3D models and detailed drawings (Siemens NX preferred), perform tolerance stacks and basic calculations, develop assembly/test procedures, assemble and test hardware, and support field testing. Collaborate with engineers across the product lifecycle.

Perform applied electromagnetics and RF research and development as a Principal Investigator, conducting lab and field measurements, instrument automation, and validation of RF systems. Support antenna, EMI/EMC, and microwave testing in anechoic and EMC chambers, develop technical documentation, lead engineers, and coordinate with DoD/IC sponsors. Occasional travel required.

Design, set up, and run physics-based undersea simulations; develop and integrate computational models for vehicle dynamics, sound propagation, and signal processing; analyze results and produce recommendations; perform system-level operability and CONOPS studies; integrate operational vehicle software into larger simulations; work on multiple projects and produce technical reports and presentations for DoD sponsors.

Design, prototype, and test high-voltage battery modules and packs for underwater electric propulsion. Model systems (MATLAB/Simulink), develop test protocols, collect and analyze performance and failure data, perform safety assessments (DFMEAs) to meet Navy lithium battery safety standards, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate battery systems. Prepare technical reports, SOPs, and validation plans.

Support engineers by fabricating, assembling, installing, calibrating, and testing mechanical prototype systems and test hardware. Handle energetic materials safely, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical test equipment, collect and document test data, write assembly procedures, and source materials. Higher-level roles add storage/transport management, supervision, SOP creation, and design/implementation of fabrication hardware. Position is onsite and supports DoD/defense research.

Develop and integrate high-performance software and signal-processing algorithms for communications across underwater, terrestrial, aerial, and space platforms. Design applications, libraries, interfaces, drivers, and system architecture; implement and test algorithms; support field testing; and apply solutions to Department of Defense challenges. Higher-level duties include technical leadership, mentoring, and presenting to stakeholders.

Lead R&D of RF sensor systems from ELF to millimeter wave, directing antenna design, computational electromagnetics, RF propagation analysis, and system development. Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians, develop proposals and funding relationships, present results, and guide strategic research initiatives for DoD and intelligence customers.

Undergraduate intern will research adversarial TTPs, perform vulnerability detection and exploitation experiments, automate tooling with scripts/applications, set up test environments, collect and analyze data, develop prototypes, and present results while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support security hardening efforts.

Design, implement, and maintain large-scale network transport solutions (including 5G and LEO satellite) for secure facilities. Deploy CI/CD-enabled connectivity into cloud and field locations, troubleshoot network issues, produce documentation, apply DoD IA practices, and work directly with customers. May serve as technical architect for enterprise standards and strategies.

Serve as first point of contact for Residence Life central office; manage phone/mail screening, scheduling, travel and reimbursements, budget tracking, file and web updates, meeting minutes, correspondence, and office supplies while maintaining confidential records.
