Provides accounting services for multiple clients, including maintaining books, preparing monthly financial statements, reconciling accounts, recording journal entries, supporting payroll and sales tax activities, and assisting with budgeting and financial analysis. The role also involves client communication, month-end and year-end close support, accounting software troubleshooting, workflow management, and identifying process improvements.

Supports bookkeeping and accounting engagements for small business clients by categorizing transactions, performing reconciliations, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, maintaining workpapers, reviewing general ledger activity, and supporting month-end and year-end close procedures. The intern also helps prepare financial statements, researches discrepancies, organizes client documentation, learns accounting software, and participates in training and professional development.

Prepare and review individual, partnership, and S-corp tax returns; perform tax planning and estimated tax calculations; analyze financials and bookkeeping for tax issues; research federal, Florida, and multi-state tax law; communicate with clients; use CCH Axcess Tax and Excel; support tax notices and collaborate on complex planning and process improvements.

Support tax team preparing individual, partnership, and S-corporation returns; assist with tax projections, workpapers, client communications, research multi-state tax rules, and learn CCH Axcess Tax and accounting platforms while participating in training and team meetings.

Serve as primary accounting contact for a client portfolio, review and correct financial statements, mentor and coach staff, manage multiple engagements, implement cloud accounting systems (Xero/QuickBooks Online), improve workflows, and communicate financial insights to help clients make informed business decisions.

The Controller will manage accounting operations, oversee client engagements, supervise staff, ensure financial reporting accuracy, and provide strategic advice. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, team leadership, and compliance with standards.
