As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop software for satellite operations, collaborate on mission architecture, and mentor engineers.

Lead design, analysis, qualification, and production of turbopumps and fluid-loop mechanisms for spacecraft active thermal control. Perform rotor-dynamics, bearing/seal, hydraulic, structural, and thermal-fluid analyses; define test and qualification plans; partner with thermal, avionics, structures, and production teams; and own requirements, design reviews, manufacturing trades, and high-volume production deliverables.

Design and implement real-time, fault-tolerant flight software for high-power spacecraft, including control of propulsion, attitude, power, and communications. Build software architecture, state machines, testing and deployment tools, perform data analysis and anomaly investigation, and support integration, verification, and operations on multiple spacecraft.

Collaborate to design and implement automation systems for production, ensuring efficiency and reliability in the manufacturing process.

Design, implement, verify, and maintain FPGA firmware (VHDL/SystemVerilog) for spacecraft subsystems (propulsion, attitude, RF, power). Own architecture, validate via simulation, bench and Hardware-In-The-Loop testing, support integration/troubleshooting, and build tools/infrastructure for reliable, high-reliability FPGA solutions.

Lead end-to-end RTL-to-GDSII physical implementation for high-performance SoCs for satellites. Drive timing closure, PPA optimization, tool/flow decisions, manage external PD partners, collaborate with packaging, DFT, and post-silicon teams, and support production and spaceflight tapeouts in advanced FinFET nodes.

Lead manufacturing development for the company’s first Pumped Fluid Loop satellite system. Responsibilities include establishing a fluid-component work center, driving design for manufacturability, developing production plans, build flows, tooling, automation, capacity models, and rate-ramp strategies. The role also involves prototype assembly, system fill, proof and leak testing, component qualification, and resolving manufacturing nonconformances with engineering and technician teams.

Architects and administers enterprise Windows and Linux systems, virtualization, hybrid cloud infrastructure, networking, identity management, backups, disaster recovery, and security hardening. Leads infrastructure migrations and deployments, monitors system performance, resolves complex Tier 3 issues, evaluates technologies and vendors, establishes IT standards, and mentors IT staff. The role supports compliance with NIST 800-171 and CMMC requirements in an aerospace environment.

Design and own satellite optical and optomechanical hardware from concept through analysis, prototyping, qualification, manufacturing, integration, and on-orbit operations. Responsibilities include structural and thermal design, lens mounting, hardware trades, design reviews, hands-on assembly and alignment, vibration and thermal-vacuum testing, analysis correlation, and cross-functional collaboration with optical, electrical, manufacturing, and other engineering teams.

Develop and mature mechanical suppliers by assessing capabilities, managing PPAP and reliability campaigns, leading corrective actions, auditing quality performance, and improving supplier delivery, cost, and quality. The role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to establish production roadmaps and strategic supplier partnerships. It requires engineering experience, supplier management, quality standards knowledge, and travel of up to 25–50%.
