The Research Engineer will design and build evaluation systems to measure data quality for Firecrawl's web data extraction, creating metrics and benchmarks, and collaborating on model improvements.

Design, build, and operate crawling, indexing, and retrieval systems for large-scale web search. Improve latency, cost, ranking quality, and freshness. Own services end-to-end, ship iterations, and collaborate on roadmap with the search team.

Own end-to-end customer onboarding: scope integrations, build and deploy integrations against real customer data, diagnose extraction or pipeline issues, drive adoption and expansion, and act as the technical voice between customers, product, and engineering to shorten time-to-value.

Serve as the technical partner for live accounts: build integrations, diagnose extraction/pipeline issues, deepen product adoption, and drive retention and expansion by solving technical problems and collaborating with revenue and engineering.

As a Technical BDR, you will identify and engage technical buyers, qualify prospects, and provide product intelligence while conducting outbound sales efforts. You need technical fluency to effectively communicate Firecrawl's API solutions to engineers and data scientists.

Act as the technical lead for sales: run discovery, architect solutions, demo product, build POCs, answer deep technical questions, and partner with revenue, product, and engineering to close deals.

The Forward Deployed Engineer is responsible for customer onboarding, running demos, building POCs, and driving account expansion while being the technical face of the company.
