Provide state and local tax consulting, prepare income and franchise tax returns, research complex tax issues, write technical memoranda and tax alerts, and develop client relationships. The role focuses on state and local taxes including income, franchise, sales and use, gross receipts, and personal property taxes, while building broader federal tax knowledge.

Build, troubleshoot, and enhance financial reports and data solutions across Workday, Power BI, Adaptive Planning, and other systems. Analyze, cleanse, transform, and investigate data using SQL, Excel, Alteryx, Power Apps, and internal applications. Intake reporting requests, identify appropriate data sources, fulfill ad hoc analyses, support helpdesk reporting, review business processes, and communicate cross-functionally to deliver effective solutions.

Supports People, Workforce, and Rewards engagement leaders by coordinating action plans, communications, resources, client deliverables, meetings, and strategic initiatives. Analyzes engagement performance metrics, researches business needs, improves processes and tools, and facilitates collaboration across stakeholders. The intern develops knowledge of SALT and federal taxation through client work and training. Occasional local, national, and international travel may be required.

Supports tax consulting engagements by researching complex tax issues, preparing technical memoranda and tax returns, assisting with mergers and acquisitions, international tax structuring, transaction tax matters, tax alerts, and internal education. Works with engagement teams, staff, and clients while gaining exposure to National Tax Office and transactional service lines.

Provides international tax consulting and compliance services for inbound and outbound cross-border activities, including individual and corporate tax returns. Conducts international tax research, collaborates with engagement teams, interacts with clients, and gains exposure to tax consulting service lines.

Lead and manage proposal pursuits from strategy through delivery: research, develop persuasive content, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage timelines, prepare finalist presentations, and ensure compliant, timely RFP responses that position the firm to win business.

Perform daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks including A/R and A/P cycles, reconciliations, payroll entry assistance, and financial report preparation using Intacct, Yardi, and QuickBooks. Verify contracts and transactions, apply GAAP, analyze financial data, and support client engagements and operational activities.

Manage complex consulting engagements focusing on employee benefits strategies. Lead a team, mentor talent, and advise clients, particularly in retirement plans and executive compensation.
