Research and write high-quality technical content, including tutorials, use-case guides, engineering posts, SEO explainers, and social threads. Translate complex concepts into clear, useful material for developers and AI agents. Independently identify topics, choose appropriate formats, collaborate with engineers and marketers, and edit technical content. The role requires strong writing, technical curiosity, sound editorial judgment, and the ability to use AI effectively.

Operate and scale PostHog’s large ClickHouse clusters, including provisioning, infrastructure automation, node and instance performance optimization, hardware evaluation, and query performance tooling. Build systems using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Python, AWS, and ZooKeeper to manage more than 100 PB of data and support trillions of annual events.

Own technical relationships for 25–40 mid-to-large customers, ensure retention and growth by troubleshooting issues, advising on configuration, managing escalations, handling commercial renewals, and feeding product feedback to internal teams.

Build and scale the outbound BDR motion: hire and coach a small team, design targeting and tooling (Clay, Salesforce, AI automation), own metrics/reporting, iterate messaging across channels, and ensure qualified pipeline handed to AEs.

Own inbound and warm outbound deals for PostHog on the U.S. West Coast: qualify prospects, demo technical product capabilities, right-size contracts, close business to quota, and act as the customer advocate to surface feedback to product teams. Balance technical depth with commercial acumen while managing multi-threaded enterprise cycles and maintaining high responsiveness via async channels like Slack and Loom.

Own initial customer relationships for inbound and warm outbound leads, qualify and convert prospects, manage deals end-to-end, hit quarterly targets, provide product feedback to engineering, advise on technical configuration and adoption, and deliver high-touch, responsive customer engagement.
