Responsible for monthly and quarterly investment accounting and analysis for a large reinsurance general account. Tasks include journal entries, GL reconciliations, GAAP and STAT disclosure support, investment income and yield analysis, controls and SOX compliance, private equity operations, onboarding new portfolios, audit support, system enhancements, UAT, automation, and leveraging AI/advanced analytics to improve accounting processes.

Prepare monthly and quarterly investment accounting and disclosures for GAAP and STAT, record journal entries, reconcile investment balances across diverse asset classes, support audits and regulatory filings, lead private equity operations, drive close-cycle improvements, participate in systems/UAT and automation initiatives, and ensure SOX/internal control compliance.

Lead day-to-day investment accounting across GAAP, STAT, Bermuda SFS, and EBS. Oversee transaction processing, reconciliations, valuation governance, SOX controls, reporting, audit support, and offshore resources. Provide technical accounting guidance, drive automation and AI-enabled process improvements, and deliver decision-useful analysis to senior leadership on investment and reinsurance portfolios.

Lead day-to-day investment accounting, valuation governance, reconciliations, transaction processing and reporting across GAAP/STAT/Bermuda SFS/EBS. Ensure SOX controls, resolve accounting/valuation variances, support audits and valuation committees, drive automation/AI-enabled improvements, and provide technical leadership and oversight to onshore and offshore accounting teams.

10-week summer internship on the Life Actuarial team supporting reserve valuations, financial reporting, long-term product projections, experience studies, assumption setting, and a cross-functional capstone project while receiving formal program training and mentorship.

Lead design and implementation of automated internal controls across investment, underwriting, settlements, finance, and data workflows. Embed controls into data platforms, establish continuous monitoring and evidence, support ITGCs and cybersecurity, govern AI/model controls, drive transformation adoption, and manage remediation and metrics for control performance.

Oversee production and governance of US GAAP and management forecasts,drive model requirements and automation, perform variance and attribution analysis, produce executive reporting and scenario analysis, manage a small finance team, and partner across Finance, Actuarial, Treasury, Investments, and Technology to enhance forecasting capability and controls.

Lead financial oversight of the investments function for life and annuity lines, partnering with the CIO to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory compliance, performance analysis, KPI development, and stakeholder reporting. Provide strategic guidance, present investment impacts to executives and the board, and mentor finance team members to drive growth and profitability.

Lead enterprise capital forecasting and US GAAP-based projections, govern forecasting models, perform attribution and variance analysis, define finance requirements for forecasting systems, drive automation and scalable reporting, support executive and board reporting, and manage a small team while partnering with Finance, Actuarial, Treasury, Investments, and Technology.

Lead and build the company's second-line controls function, designing an enterprise controls framework, managing annual control activities, conducting walkthroughs and testing, driving AI-enabled control automation, and reporting control health to senior leadership and the board.
