Designs, validates, tests, and brings moderately complex mechanical products and components to market. Creates CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, and validation plans; evaluates cost, reliability, safety, and manufacturability. Provides sustaining product support engineering through root cause analysis, corrective actions, product improvements, configuration and BOM management, ECN execution, and lifecycle support. Supports manufacturing operations, resolves shop-floor defects, improves first-pass yield, reduces warranty costs, and drives design-for-reliability initiatives. Collaborates with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, product management, systems engineering, compliance, and suppliers across Generac businesses.

Leads cross-functional product development projects from planning through execution, including new product introductions, cost reduction, technology integration, and lifecycle support. Creates schedules and development plans, manages scope, cost, quality, risks, and mitigation strategies, and coordinates engineering, product management, manufacturing, supply chain, service, finance, and marketing teams. Drives design reviews, development milestones, make-or-buy decisions, lessons learned, and continuous process improvements.

Develops and improves manufacturing processes, product quality, facility layouts, equipment, tooling, and production systems. Coordinates new product introductions, technology transfers, and continuous improvement initiatives across mixed-model manufacturing lines. Applies lean principles, demand-driven strategies, standard processes, and PLC programming to improve efficiency, quality, flow, and operating costs. Collaborates with shop-floor personnel and cross-functional teams to implement process changes and support operational excellence.

Provides advanced onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, phones, printers, peripherals, applications, and network-related issues. Installs, diagnoses, repairs, upgrades, and maintains technology in office and manufacturing environments. Supports system implementations, migrations, asset inventory, documentation, incident triage, policy compliance, and vendor resolution. Participates in ticket queues, assists higher-tier specialists, and provides on-call, evening, weekend, and occasional multi-facility support.

Supports existing product designs through root cause analysis, corrective actions, cost reductions, design improvements, configuration management, and lifecycle support. Provides technical assistance to manufacturing operations, resolves shop-floor defects, maintains BOMs and product documentation, manages engineering change notices, and improves first-pass yield, reliability, throughput, and warranty performance.
