Summer interns gain hands-on experience in grain marketing and agricultural business operations. Responsibilities include analyzing commodity markets, weather, and industry trends; supporting grain marketing strategies; managing customer data and communications; learning grain contracts, risk management, and hedging; participating in industry events; preparing reports; and assisting sales and marketing activities. The role involves outdoor agricultural conditions and may require personal protective equipment.

Supports accurate, timely payroll processing and maintains confidential payroll records. Reviews timekeeping, deductions, taxes, benefits, and employee data; resolves discrepancies; assists with payroll reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger support, and year-end activities. Processes routine accounting transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, deposits, and expense coding. Responds to employee and manager questions, maintains organized files, supports compliance and audits, and identifies process improvements.

Leads the agronomy sales force across the Southeast Territory by recruiting, coaching, training, and managing performance. Develops sales and marketing strategies, expands the customer base, monitors pricing and profitability, manages budgets, and ensures activity and reporting standards. Collaborates with agronomy leadership, operations managers, and location managers to improve efficiency, teamwork, customer experience, and account growth.

Sell crop protection products, plant food, seed, agronomy programs, and related services to current and prospective agricultural customers. Advise producers on crop production decisions, coordinate precision agriculture activities, support pricing, invoicing, inventory, distribution, collections, customer records, reporting, and complaint resolution. Maintain required licenses and collaborate with location and sales managers to grow sales, margins, and market share.

Coordinate internal and external communications, gather content across locations, support social media and website updates, liaise with an external marketing agency, assist event and community engagement, maintain brand consistency, and leverage digital and AI tools to support marketing execution.
