Support design, build, and operation of fluid, mechanical, and electrical test systems for liquid rocket propulsion. Perform test setup, inspections, checkouts, troubleshooting, and collaborate with cross-site teams to rapidly develop flight hardware.

Design and develop propulsion valves and fluid components from concept through product realization. Create CAD models and drawings, perform fluid/thermal/structural analysis, define assembly procedures, support testing and qualification, and resolve technical issues while collaborating with technicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Design, implement, and verify GNC algorithms and software for spacecraft (LEO/GEO, upper stages, landers). Develop flight and simulation code, generate verification data, create reusable tools, resolve technical issues, and communicate designs. Mentor others and define GNC best practices for senior roles.

Install, wire, and troubleshoot industrial control systems for rocket propulsion test stands. Program/configure PLCs and VFDs, maintain electrical shop inventory, review/redline schematics using EPlan, and ensure compliance with NFPA/UL standards while supporting test operations.

Own test assets and programs, coordinate vendors, perform test setup and troubleshooting, run test operations, and collaborate across teams to rapidly develop flight hardware.

Lead design, testing, and delivery of flight RF software for space missions. Implement RF software architectures, develop DSP and calibration algorithms, design RF control algorithms, bring up RF systems, and collaborate with ground software teams to test satellite-to-ground data pipelines.

Design, build, and maintain standardized electrical test hardware (DAQ, controls, power distribution, enclosures). Create schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and documentation. Support procurement, fabrication, integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with test ops, software automation, and IT for deployment and configuration of test assets.

Support manufacturing engineering teams to develop and improve processes for space-grade components. Work with design teams to produce reliable, cost-efficient hardware, evaluate fabrication techniques, create assembly and inspection processes, and resolve technical issues. Internship runs August–November 2026, on-site in Redondo Beach, CA.

Manage supplier quality by qualifying parts, auditing vendor processes, owning non-conformances (SDR/MRB/CAPA/RTV), driving corrective actions and continuous improvement, supporting containment and inspection, and collaborating with Engineering, Procurement, and Production to ensure reliable supplier performance.

Design, develop, and implement tooling, fixturing, and test/support equipment for metallic and composite spacecraft structures. Collaborate with designers, analysts, manufacturing, and supply chain to prototype and produce designs, support testing, and solve complex technical challenges with emphasis on speed.
