Develop and optimize wet etch processes for GaAs and InP optoelectronic devices (VCSELs, photodiodes, EMLs). Control etch chemistry, rates, selectivity, and surface quality; use metrology (SEM, AFM, XPS, XRD, ellipsometry) for characterization; troubleshoot yield and material issues; establish SPC/DOE, qualify chemistries/equipment, document SOPs, and mentor junior engineers while integrating processes into fabs.

The role involves designing silicon photonic integrated circuits, validating designs, supporting tapeouts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for product development.
