The role requires cross-functional collaboration with product management, process integration, quality, modeling, and product engineering teams.

Develops and supports optical manufacturing processes for fiber-optic devices and components. Responsibilities include sourcing components, assembling and testing prototypes, troubleshooting performance issues, creating build and test documentation, maintaining SOPs, supporting qualification and reliability testing, and transferring new products into manufacturing. The role also provides production support, trains colleagues, coordinates suppliers, and works in office and clean-room environments.

Owns semiconductor manufacturing equipment across its lifecycle, improving reliability, uptime, maintainability, OEE, and manufacturing readiness. Leads troubleshooting, root cause analysis, preventive and predictive maintenance optimization, equipment modifications, installations, commissioning, upgrades, and capital projects. The role requires an optics or physics degree, at least five years of experience, knowledge of telecom optical components, strong project and communication skills, and possible clean-room work.

Leads foundry quality engineering for silicon photonic PIC products. Develops predictive quality metrics using foundry, wafer-test, reliability, yield, and assembly data; identifies manufacturing risks; drives process controls and corrective actions. Conducts foundry audits, root-cause investigations, FMEA and design-for-quality reviews, materials disposition, and product and foundry qualification activities. Requires collaboration with internal engineering teams and global wafer foundries, plus occasional domestic and international travel.

Designs, develops, and maintains embedded firmware for STMicroelectronics microcontrollers using C++. Creates Python-based GUIs and test tools for firmware validation and debugging.
