Leads the Human Resources function across Bertelsmann’s decentralized U.S. operating companies. Advises the CEO and executives on workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, culture, talent, succession, compensation, benefits, compliance, employee relations, HR operations, and M&A integration. The role coordinates product teams, technology, platform, marketing, and client care to create integrated customer journeys, secure roadmap commitments, monitor adoption KPIs, and improve cross-product experiences. It also mentors product managers and UX designers, influences stakeholders without direct authority, and drives customer-focused, data-informed product decisions.

The Publicist will execute media campaigns for fiction and nonfiction titles, secure national and regional coverage, develop media and industry relationships, plan author tours, manage author schedules and care, and create press materials. The role collaborates with editorial, marketing, and sales teams, identifies new media opportunities, manages campaign budgets, and connects Vintage titles with current events, culture, and the arts.

Manage end-to-end onboarding of new sales accounts, including market research, negotiations, account setup, pipeline development, CRM improvements, sales analysis, and analytics projects. Build relationships with prospective and existing accounts while collaborating with sales, legal, operations, international teams, and senior leadership. Support cross-functional business development initiatives and special projects focused on expanding online and digital sales channels.

Manage end-to-end onboarding and implementation of SaaS products for mid-market and enterprise healthcare customers. Responsibilities include developing project plans, configuring solutions, coordinating technical and clinical teams, managing risks, reporting status, supporting customers, delivering training, maintaining documentation, and ensuring projects meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements. The role also supports sales demonstrations, RFP responses, and customer relationships.

Supports Penguin Press editorial operations from acquisition through publication by coordinating manuscripts, preparing contracts and financial paperwork, liaising across departments, evaluating proposals, drafting correspondence and marketing copy, maintaining title information, and providing scheduling and administrative support.
