Leads the architecture, development, and delivery of complex software solutions across Crestron’s product ecosystem. Provides hands-on technical leadership, mentors engineers, collaborates with hardware, firmware, QA, product management, and cloud teams, and resolves complex technical challenges. Responsibilities include system design, task decomposition, risk mitigation, coding standards, technology evaluation, technical documentation, stakeholder communication, and supporting scalable, maintainable software delivery.

Leads embedded Android and Linux video platform development, including multimedia architecture, Codec2/AIDL integration, hardware codec bring-up, video HALs, camera and display pipelines, performance tuning, debugging, and production hardening. Defines validation and automation strategies for streaming, conferencing, playback, recording, and multi-session workloads. Provides technical leadership through architecture decisions, design reviews, mentoring, vendor engagement, and cross-functional coordination across firmware, BSP, hardware, QA, applications, and silicon teams.

Resolves escalated Crestron technical support cases remotely and onsite, assists dealers and customers, stages projects, reviews system designs and programming, gathers diagnostic data, conducts site surveys, manages customer communications and project risks, and collaborates with sustaining engineering and product management. The role requires extensive AV and customer support experience, Crestron programming expertise, industry certifications, and 70% travel.

Leads Android software development for unified communications products, covering framework and application features, architecture, implementation, device integration, proof-of-concept development, and full lifecycle delivery. Integrates camera and audio hardware, drives AI-enabled experiences, supports other developers, troubleshoots complex field issues, and contributes to continuous innovation across embedded Android and AOSP platforms.

Develop and maintain embedded firmware for Android and Linux products on ARM platforms. Responsibilities include kernel and OS development, device drivers, device tree configuration, hardware interfacing, debugging, feature implementation, performance optimization, testing, technical documentation, and field escalation support across the software development lifecycle.
