Develop and lead major brand platforms, repositionings, and campaigns for Block brands from concept through activation. Shape creative briefs with strategy partners, preserve ideas across media, direct designers, writers, and production partners, and collaborate with marketing, product, and partnerships leadership. The role is an individual contributor position responsible for setting creative standards and leading project teams.

Own a San Jose territory through highly active field sales, conducting 50–60 weekly business visits, generating pipeline, delivering demos, closing full-cycle deals, building partnerships, and exceeding quota. The role requires consultative selling across Square’s commerce and financial products, strong Salesforce pipeline management, accurate forecasting, community engagement, and collaboration to ensure successful seller onboarding.

Own a North Seattle territory through field-based prospecting, business visits, live product demonstrations, consultative selling, and full-cycle deal closing. Build pipeline through cold outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and partnerships. Develop relationships with local sellers, provide onboarding support, maintain Salesforce pipeline accuracy, forecast performance, and consistently exceed sales quotas across Square’s software, hardware, and financial services ecosystem.

Build and operate GRC data pipelines, integrations, policy-as-code, continuous control monitoring, evidence automation, and agentic AI workflows. Normalize security data from diverse systems, create auditable evaluation harnesses, govern AI systems, and define technical direction across teams. Partner with security governance, compliance, and engineering groups to transform manual governance processes into scalable products.

Build and maintain backend systems powering Cash App Taxes, including federal and state tax form logic and e-file submission. Translate complex tax rules into reliable, tested software; create tools enabling safe changes by nontechnical contributors; and guide architecture, security, scalability, deployment, and documentation practices. Collaborate with product, tax specialists, QA, cloud platform, design, and customer care teams while resolving accuracy, reliability, and performance issues.

Lead Block’s global tax planning and controversy agenda, including international and U.S. tax strategy, transfer pricing, M&A taxation, legal-entity structuring, tax audits, examinations, disputes, and transaction negotiations. Advise senior leadership on tax implications, partner with Legal, Treasury, Corporate Development, and finance teams, monitor legislative developments, and ensure tax positions are reflected in reporting and compliance. Build high-performing teams and represent Block before domestic and foreign tax authorities.

Own the architecture and technical direction of Square’s go-to-market systems. Build and operate production AI agents, automated workflows, and integrations that improve sales productivity. Lead complex technical initiatives, establish reliable and secure AI evaluation practices, make build-versus-buy decisions, and partner with Sales, Product, Data, and Engineering. Remain hands-on across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations while mentoring engineers and influencing senior stakeholders.

Own the full outbound sales cycle for mid-market merchants, including prospecting, pipeline development, discovery, demonstrations, negotiation, and closing. Develop tailored multi-product solutions across Square’s ecosystem, acquire new logos, manage complex stakeholder deals, and maintain accurate Salesforce forecasts. Collaborate with Business Development, Product, Marketing, Implementation, and Operations while consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

Own the architecture and technical strategy for Square’s go-to-market technology stack. Build and operate production AI agents, automated workflows, and integrations that improve sales productivity. Lead complex technical initiatives, establish AI reliability and security guardrails, define evaluation metrics, and guide build-versus-buy decisions. Partner with Sales, Product, Data, and Engineering leaders while mentoring engineers and remaining hands-on across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.

Build and operate Block’s data platform, including warehousing, orchestration, business intelligence, governance, and agentic workflows. Develop reliable Python services, developer tools, and Terraform infrastructure for petabyte-scale data. Partner with data practitioners and product teams, establish engineering standards, provide technical direction, and mentor engineers while ensuring security, reliability, observability, usability, and data governance.
