The Actuarial Manager prepares recurring financial reports, evaluates financial models against actual results, streamlines financial data, and supports technology and corporate initiatives. The role partners with Finance, Risk, Accounting, and other stakeholders on analytics, projections, regulatory requests, and process improvements. Responsibilities also include leading, coaching, and developing team members while communicating complex actuarial and financial concepts effectively.

Leads actuarial analysis supporting in-force management, new business opportunities, capital and earnings projections, variable annuity reserving, regulatory research, and process improvements. The role evaluates deals, assumptions, investments, hedging, modeling, and business metrics while collaborating across Finance, Risk, Investments, IT, and Corporate Development. It presents insights to senior leadership and investors, manages initiatives, communicates complex concepts, and mentors junior staff.

Analyze policyholder experience data and develop mortality and behavioral assumptions for variable annuity products. Monitor trends, validate studies, recommend updates, prepare management presentations and memorandums, and collaborate with modeling, IT, finance, auditors, regulators, and vendors. Support process improvements, controls, documentation, model implementation, transformation projects, reporting, and transaction-related analyses.

Develop and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and Workday data extracts; ensure data governance and integrity; provide Workday system administration, security, testing, troubleshooting, integrations, and end-user training; support HR operations like open enrollment and compensation cycles; document processes and partner with stakeholders and vendors for improvements.

Leads actuarial data validation, inforce controls, reconciliations, valuation inputs, assumption validation, reporting, automation, and process improvements. Investigates data and model issues, supports regulatory filings and risk analysis, partners with auditors and reinsurers, presents findings to leadership, and mentors junior staff. The role requires advanced actuarial judgment, insurance and reinsurance expertise, at least three Society of Actuaries exams, and three or more years of actuarial experience.

Supports internal control testing, exception assessment, data analysis, risk reporting, quantitative analysis, audit projects, process documentation, and process improvement. The intern will use analytical and visualization tools to evaluate market risks, summarize findings, build reports, present memorandums, and develop an understanding of enterprise controls, financial services, and insurance operations.

Supports investment, derivative, risk, and vendor operations for variable annuity portfolios. Responsibilities include investment and market data analysis, database maintenance, data integrity, reporting, quantitative analysis, process documentation, presentations, and collaboration with internal teams and external providers. The intern will also develop knowledge of variable annuities, their risk drivers, and supporting assets and derivatives while gaining exposure to actuarial and financial risk functions.

Summer 2027 actuarial interns will analyze variable annuity risks, market data, investment data, and risk metrics. Responsibilities include database maintenance, data integrity, business analysis, trend analysis, Excel modeling and VBA automation, process improvement, and presenting findings to teams and senior management. Candidates should demonstrate mathematical aptitude, technical skills, communication, initiative, and attention to detail. Preferred backgrounds include actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, finance, and economics.

Advance investment data, reporting, and technology capabilities by designing scalable data pipelines, monitoring and resolving data exceptions, building reports and dashboards, supporting product management and UAT, improving automation and governance, and partnering cross-functionally to maintain data quality and documentation.

Support derivative portfolio managers by monitoring listed and OTC interest-rate and equity derivatives, researching hedging strategies, building quantitative tools and risk reports, conducting market and P&L analysis, and contributing to quantitative projects to manage Variable Annuity and other risk exposures.
