Designs, integrates, tests, and verifies software and firmware for space-based optical instruments and payloads. Responsibilities include systems architecture, requirements allocation and traceability, technical budgets, simulations, test campaigns, interface specifications, mission assurance, and software configuration verification. The role supports spacecraft payload integration, represents systems engineering in technical discussions, assists with program management, and mentors engineers. Performs optical bench setup, metrology, environmental test readiness, troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, and data analysis. Develops test procedures and validation methods, collaborates across mechanical, electrical, systems, and AIT teams, and supports customer reviews and technical briefings.

Designs, analyzes, and develops propulsion engine components and systems for Rocket Lab’s Archimedes engine. Responsibilities include mechanical design, trade studies, design reviews, manufacturability evaluation, collaboration with analysts and fabrication teams, and supporting hardware from concept through production. The role requires expertise in heat transfer, fluids, structural mechanics, FEA, mechanical design, GD&T, and aerospace hardware development.

Supports Rocket Lab’s Test Ground Systems team with engineering work for rocket engine test stands, instrumentation, controls, automation, and data collection.
