The Accountant III prepares insurance-related general ledger entries, reconciliations, payments, financial reports, and statutory statements. The role analyzes reinsurance data, supports tax and audit requests, coordinates state filings, investigates reconciling items, and assists with accounting projects, software conversions, validation, and testing. It also identifies opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes while applying GAAP, statutory, and company accounting policies.
