Design, develop, and maintain payment-related web applications across front-end and back-end. Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and architects to integrate APIs, optimize performance and scalability, troubleshoot complex issues, implement database schemas and deploy using AWS. Contribute to process improvements and stay current with web, cloud, and software engineering best practices.

Manage chargeback and dispute lifecycle per card-scheme rules: validate representments, analyze supporting documents, prepare financial batches, maintain MIS, coordinate with merchants/banks/schemes, and ensure PCI DSS and scheme compliance.

Lead regional general ledger and statutory reporting across multiple entities: manage month‑end/year‑end closings, statutory filings, audits, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, accounting policy alignment, technical accounting guidance, and continuous improvement. Coach and develop the GL/statutory team and partner with Tax, Treasury, FP&A and Group Finance.

Drive new merchant acquisition and revenue within assigned verticals by building executive relationships, managing full sales cycles, and positioning Payfast payment and fintech solutions. Develop vertical expertise, deliver tailored enterprise solutions with cross-functional teams, and maintain pipeline, forecasting, and CRM hygiene to meet revenue and transaction targets.

Perform daily reconciliation and settlement of card issuing transactions across systems and schemes, investigate and resolve breaks, prepare settlement reports and accounting entries, coordinate with banks and processors, monitor chargebacks and fees, ensure compliance, and support automation and process improvements.

Ensure reliability and availability of production applications by monitoring systems, troubleshooting incidents, performing maintenance and patching, collaborating with development teams to improve performance, documenting resolutions, and participating in shift and on-call rotations for after-hours support.
