The Electronic Engineer will support troubleshooting and repair of 5G radios, mentor technicians, analyze defects, and implement process improvements.

Lead design, deployment, verification, and production support of next-generation RAN networks (5G/6G). Support presales, project planning, scripting for deployments, testing and troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement across customer environments.

Design and optimize RAN networks (5G SA/NSA and 4G), analyze KPIs, investigate and resolve performance issues, coordinate with customers and internal teams, lead wireless trials and feature validations, apply AI-driven automation for network tuning, and provide pre-sales technical support.

Design, scope and deliver Ericsson cloud solutions (CNIS, NFVI, OMC). Analyze customer technology and requirements, plan and verify configuration, integration, migration, testing and acceptance. Provide customer workshops/presentations, support deployments and post-project activities, feedback to R&D, drive process improvements, and occasionally support pre-sales. Collaborate cross-functionally and travel up to 30%.

Design and implement scalable microservices-based backend systems for a UC platform, integrate LLM/GenAI (RAG) chatbots, build AI data and ELT pipelines with vector DBs, manage Kubernetes/Docker infrastructure and observability, and optimize systems for high-volume traffic.

Own and maintain assigned Emergency Service Network (ESN) sites, perform reactive and proactive maintenance on multi-technology networks, lead problem management, participate in 24/7 on-call rota, travel to remote islands for service recovery, and collaborate with FSO and Ericsson teams to meet SLAs safely.

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native, multithreaded Java microservices with a focus on IAM and Java security (OAuth/OIDC). Build/consume REST APIs and messaging systems, write tests, debug production issues, contribute to CI/CD, and deploy containerized services using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

Install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot LTE and 5G RAN and core/data center network systems. Perform RF testing, microwave backhaul and fiber work, hardware swaps, network troubleshooting across OSI Layers 1-3, alarm monitoring, change management, and on-call incident response in field and data center environments.

Develop and verify Radio Unit (RU) software for 5G/6G systems across the full lifecycle: requirements, system and software design, integration, testing, simulation, tooling, and documentation. Work on carrier management, beamforming, antenna calibration, interference management, Massive MIMO, mmWave and O-RAN, and contribute to AI-enabled radio features and continuous product/process improvements.
