This role provides strategic HR partnership to senior leadership, focusing on talent management, coaching, and organizational effectiveness. Responsibilities include driving employee engagement, managing HR processes, and supporting change initiatives.

The Director, People Business Partner drives HR strategy, enhances employee engagement, and coaches senior leaders while utilizing data for decision-making. They lead talent management and change initiatives within the Finance organization.

Provide strategic legal advice on capital markets transactions for PayPal's consumer credit businesses. Lead counsel on securitizations, warehouse facilities, forward flow agreements, and securities compliance. Partner with Treasury, Finance, Risk and outside counsel to structure financings, manage transaction counterparties, monitor regulatory developments, support diligence for acquisitions/partnerships, and develop playbooks and scalable documentation for capital markets activity.

Perform timely reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts, resolve reconciling items, post entries in SAP, support month-end close, research issues, and recommend process and technology improvements.

Prepare and review complex indirect tax returns and provisions, support audits and tax authorities, reconcile workpapers, create tax payment requests, assist month-end close, drive process standardization, identify automation opportunities, and support system testing and audits across a global environment.

Lead employee relations for Singapore and APAC: advise leaders, run complex investigations, manage regulatory HR for regulated staff, design manager effectiveness programs, use HR data/AI and dashboards to identify trends and drive global process improvements, and partner with cross‑functional teams including Legal and Rewards.

Provide commercial transactional legal support for large, complex merchant and partner deals globally. Negotiate and draft multinational agreements, advise sales and cross-functional teams on payments, licensing, and regulatory risk, manage deal closings, ensure compliance, escalate high-stakes issues, and develop risk management frameworks to protect PayPal's legal interests.

Manage the full eDiscovery lifecycle for litigation matters: scope and execute ESI collection, processing, review, and production. Use Relativity One, BrainSpace, iPro and other tools, ensure QC and metrics reporting, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, mentor teams, and produce attorney-facing reports.

The Staff Data Scientist designs and implements data science models, collaborates with stakeholders, mentors junior scientists, and ensures data quality to meet business needs.

Lead development of Venmo Commerce by defining strategy, building 0-to-1 two-sided ecosystems, using data and customer insights to set product requirements, partnering with design, data science, and content, and driving execution through sprint planning and agile ceremonies while monitoring product profitability.
