Lead backend engineering for Wise’s Consumer Onboarding team. Shape technical and product strategy, deliver scalable customer-facing systems, own service health, drive high-impact projects end to end, and mentor engineers. Provides second-line financial risk oversight for Wise's Brazilian entities and supports LATAM risk matters. The role manages liquidity, funding, settlement, counterparty, FX, market, safeguarding, capital, and intercompany risks. Build and scale backend systems for Wise’s recipient management experience. Own technical vision for services supporting recipient discovery, management, and customer-facing workflows. Design, deploy, and maintain scalable distributed systems and RESTful APIs while working closely with product, design, and analytics partners. Optimize relational and non-relational databases, apply test-driven development, and prioritize customer-focused, data-driven improvements.

Lead global media planning and buying across TV/CTV, OOH/DOOH, and terrestrial and digital radio. Develop media strategies and plans, coordinate agencies and internal teams, evaluate suppliers and media technology, and optimize channel mix, flighting, and reach and frequency. Monitor campaign performance against forecasts, drive in-flight improvements, and ensure post-campaign analysis and knowledge sharing.
