Serves as a strategic HR partner to the Global R&D function, advising leaders and employees on HR programs, talent acquisition, development, succession planning, employee relations, engagement, compensation, performance management, and HR processes. Partners with HR centers of excellence, supports culture initiatives, resolves employee concerns, facilitates talent and workforce programs, and identifies process improvements.

Supports the Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability, and Automations team at an aluminum recycling facility. Responsibilities include assisting with plant improvements, maintenance and repairs; designing tools and equipment with CAD; documenting engineering changes; coordinating with contractors; and developing safety protocols with cross-functional teams. The internship provides hands-on exposure to industrial machinery, reliability, electrical systems, automation, burners, furnaces, and molten metal practices.

Support the automation engineering team in a manufacturing environment by maintaining automation procedures, troubleshooting processes, device backup strategies, and data recovery systems. Help improve equipment and process reliability, minimize unplanned downtime, and standardize automation work methods. The intern should be pursuing Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, with preferred experience in SQL, databases, Cisco, VMware, Windows, Visual Studio, programming languages, and PLC systems.
